Mills & Reeve retains 26 of 29 qualifying trainees

Mills & Reeve has retained 26 of its 29 qualifying trainees, posting a 90% retention rate for its largest-ever qualifying cohort.
The retained newly qualified solicitors will join six UK offices. Eight will enter corporate and commercial, eight employment, six disputes and two insurance, while one each will join family and private client. None of those retained will be on fixed-term contracts.
Mills & Reeve recruits around 30 trainees each year through its summer vacation scheme, with training and early-career opportunities across Cambridge, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Norwich and Leeds.
